Long beans — 豆角 (Dou Jiao), also known as yard-long beans or Chinese long beans — are a popular vegetable in Chinese cooking. When dried, they take on a deeper, more concentrated beany and savoury flavour and are used in Chinese soups, slow-cooked broths and braised dishes. They rehydrate to a tender, flavourful texture and pair naturally with pork, chicken and other soup ingredients. Dried long beans are a traditional Chinese pantry ingredient found in home kitchens across Southern China.
This Xianyitang pack contains 100% dried long beans, produced under an ISO 9001-certified quality management system. Rinse thoroughly and soak in water for 20–30 minutes before use. Add to soups and braised dishes at the start of cooking and simmer until tender.
