Red adzuki beans — 赤小豆 (Chi Xiao Dou), also spelled azuki beans — are a small, dark red bean used widely in Chinese cooking. They are a staple for Chinese-style soups and broths, sweet soups (tong sui) and congee, and pair especially well with coix seeds (薏米) — a classic combination in Chinese everyday cooking. Their mild, lightly beany character blends naturally with a wide range of other ingredients.
This Xianyitang pack contains 100% dried red adzuki beans, produced under an ISO 9001-certified quality management system. Rinse thoroughly and soak in water for 30–60 minutes before use.
