The Xianyitang 經典參芪湯 (Jīng Diǎn Shēn Qí Tāng) — 'Classic Codonopsis and Astragalus Soup' — is one of the most widely used Cantonese herbal soup blends, combining astragalus root (黃芪), codonopsis root (黨參), goji berry (枸杞), red date (大棗) and Chinese yam (山藥). The blend produces a mildly sweet, lightly earthy broth that pairs naturally with pork ribs, pork bones, chicken or lean pork.
Manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly and soak in warm water for 15–30 minutes before use. Add to a pot with your chosen meat and simmer until fully cooked through. This is a simple, adaptable blend suited to everyday Chinese home cooking.
Typical uses: Chinese herbal pork rib soup, chicken broth, everyday Cantonese-style herbal soup.
Goes well with: Pork ribs, pork bones, chicken, lean pork, ginger, salt.
