The Xianyitang 豬肚雞湯料包 (Zhū Dù Jī Tāng) is the classic Cantonese dried herbal blend for pig stomach and chicken soup — one of the most popular Cantonese soups in home cooking. White pepper (白胡椒) provides the signature warming bite, balanced by codonopsis root (黨參), Chinese yam (山藥), astragalus root (黃芪), lily bulb (百合), red dates (大棗), dried longan (龍眼肉) and goji berries (枸杞子).
Produced under an ISO 9001-certified quality management system. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly and soak in warm water for 15–30 minutes before use. This blend is intended to be cooked with a whole cleaned pig stomach (豬肚) and a whole chicken or chicken pieces — add all ingredients to the pot together and simmer gently for at least 1.5–2 hours until tender.
Typical uses: Traditional Cantonese pig stomach and chicken soup (豬肚雞), white pepper chicken soup, slow-cooked herbal broth.
Goes well with: Pig stomach (豬肚), whole chicken, chicken pieces, ginger, salt, rice wine.
Each pack is pre-portioned for convenience. Rinse the ingredients, add to a pot with your chosen meat and approximately 1.5 litres of cold water, bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer for 1–2 hours. Season lightly before serving. Serves 2–4.
