Dried hibiscus flower — 玫瑰茄 / 洛神花 (Luo Shen Hua), also known as roselle — is a deep-red dried flower ingredient with a bright tart flavour and fruity aroma. Its taste is often compared with cranberry or pomegranate, making it suitable for both hot and cold preparations.
This Xianyitang pack contains 100% dried hibiscus flower / roselle calyces, produced under an ISO 9001-certified quality management system. Rinse briefly before use. For hibiscus tea, add a few pieces to hot water and infuse for 3–5 minutes, or cold-brew overnight in the refrigerator. It can also be simmered with other ingredients or used in compotes, jams, drinks and dessert sauces.
Typical uses: Hibiscus tea, cold brew, floral infusions, Cantonese-style soups, compotes, jams, drinks and dessert sauces.
Goes well with: Rock sugar, ginger, honey, red dates, osmanthus, lemon, citrus peel and jelly desserts.
Allergen information: Packed in a facility that also handles peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and soya. Please check the product label before use.
