Honeysuckle flower — 金銀花 (Jin Yin Hua) — is a dried flower widely used in Chinese herbal teas, soups and herbal broths. Its name means 'gold and silver flower', reflecting the way the blossoms transition from white to gold as they open. The flavour is delicate, slightly sweet and pleasantly floral. Honeysuckle flower is a popular ingredient in cooling herbal teas and is also used in soups and broths, often paired with chrysanthemum (菊花) and other floral or herbal ingredients.
This Xianyitang pack contains 100% dried honeysuckle flower, produced under an ISO 9001-certified quality management system. Rinse briefly and brew as a herbal tea by steeping in hot water for 5–10 minutes, or add to soups and broths during cooking.
Typical uses: Herbal tea infusions, Chinese soups and broths, herbal cooling drinks, slow-cooked pantry recipes.
Goes well with: Chrysanthemum (菊花), rock sugar, ginger, honey, mint, lemon, pear, goji berry (枸杞子).
