Dried white radish — 白蘿蔔 (Bai Luo Bo), also known as dried daikon — is a popular ingredient in Cantonese soups and broths. Drying concentrates the natural mild sweetness of the radish, making it a valued addition to long-simmered soups with pork ribs or beef brisket. It pairs naturally with carrot and corn in classic everyday Cantonese broths, and is also used in slow-cooked and braised dishes.
This Xianyitang pack contains 100% dried white radish. Rinse thoroughly before use. Add directly to soups at the start of cooking and simmer with meat and other ingredients for 1–2 hours.
