Dried bitter melon — 苦瓜乾 / 苦瓜干 (Ku Gua) — is a traditional dried vegetable ingredient used in Cantonese and Chinese cooking. It is known for its bold, distinctly bitter flavour, which becomes more rounded when simmered slowly in soups and broths.
This Xianyitang pack contains 100% dried bitter melon, manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system. Rinse thoroughly before use, then add to soups, broths or stir-fries during cooking.
Typical uses: Cantonese soups, pork rib soup, slow-cooked broths, Chinese-style vegetable dishes and stir-fries.
Goes well with: Pork ribs, pork bones, chicken, fermented black beans (豆豉), garlic, ginger, dried oysters, red dates and soy sauce.
Allergen information: Packed in a facility that also handles peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and soya. Please check the product label before use.
